Flexible Childcare in Putney, London

The flexible childcare offered by Gwendolen House started thanks to popular demand from parents and friends of the Nursery who were looking for ad-hoc sessions to undertake freelance or part-time work, go to the gym, attend an appointment, deal with an emergency childcare need or who just wanted to have some child-free time to spend with friends or to get on with those jobs that need to be tackled without distractions.

We responded to these requests by putting in place the option for flexible childcare arrangements by way of drop-in sessions for children from six months to pre-school age. Older children are able to attend our Out of School Club which offers term time and school holiday childcare for children from school age up to the age of ten years.

The Drop-In Sessions are available Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) by way of:

• Full Day (available between 8.30 am to 6.30 pm);
• Morning only (available between 8.30 am to 12.30 pm); or
• Afternoon only (available between 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm).

These sessions can be booked as a block of regular sessions or on an ad hoc basis. The fees are as follows:

• Full Day sessions £170
• Morning or Afternoon only sessions £85

In order to get started with these sessions, you will first need to register your child with us and bring in your child for a one hour settling in session whilst we collate your registration details and all relevant information regarding your child. Kindly, send us an e-mail at info@gwendolenhouse.com so we can arrange a mutually convenient time for your settling in session and specify your child's name, date of birth and the type of sessions that you would be interested in booking for your flexible childcare.

During this registration and settling in session we would like to get to know a little more about your child, understand their likes and dislikes and to find out about any special dietary requirements and medical conditions or religious traditions that we would need to observe with your child whilst they are at the Nursery.

You will also be required to sign a Parental Agreement which sets out the terms and conditions of your registration. Once this registration procedure has been completed then, you’re ready to go and can proceed to book your sessions. You can do this by sending an e-mail to info@gwendolenhouse.com to enquire about availability providing at least one full working day's notice prior to the session you require.

Depending on the sessions attended, your child will be provided with:

• Lunch and/or an afternoon meal prepared by the Gwendolen House in-house catering team together with a snack during another part of the day; and

• Structured, social and creative indoor and outdoor activities following the Early Years Curriculum programme.
